The Suburban Diner has been standing on Rt. 17 North in Paramus since 1956. It started as a small train car serving great American classics for decades. In 1990 it was purchased by a hard working group of friends and their families and continued the tradition in a family friendly atmosphere. For years their mission has been to “be the best and serve the best” and by doing that it became a community place.

This commitment and passion of great food, great service and making friends made it the Suburban it is today, a newly renovated, modern retro diner that stands out from far away on Rt. 17. Our new bakery department features desserts made daily on premise with an extensive coffee selection. Adjacent to the bakery, is our brand new bar that offers a daily happy hour with cocktails and spirits and in our comfortable dining rooms you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.
